This minimally-invasive treatment can be completed within a quick 15 minute injection session with little no downtime following the injection process.

Most of our patients are able to immediately return to their normal routines after injection session with very minimal disruption to their day.

What Is Kybella?

This injectable prescription medicine can be used to reduce fullness under the chin and treat submental fullness. Kybella® is comprised of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid that targets fat cells in the treated area and permanently destroys them. Once Kybella® has destroyed the fat cells they are no longer able to accumulate fat, which results in a slimmer, more defined chin contour and reduces the appearance of a double-chin.

Kybella® has been FDA-approved for the treatment of submental fullness in men and women 18 years of age and older. What Results Can I Expect?

With proper treatment and weight maintenance, the results of Kybella® can be permanent. The deoxycholic acid in Kybella® permanently destroys the fat cells in the targeted area, preventing the fat cells from accumulating or storing fat. The results of this treatment are intended to be long-lasting, excessive weight gain could negatively impact your results and/or reverse the effects of your Kybella® treatment, but results can be permanent with proper weight management. Individual results may vary.  

Are There Any Side Effects?

Some patients may experience injection-related side effects, including minor swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, and/or discomfort at or around the injection site. These side effects are temporary and should resolve on their own within one week of your injection session.
